In Five Years by Rebecca Serle - Aldo

The story follows a twenty-year-old lawyer named Dannie. Until now, she had planned all her life with her soon-to-be husband. However, one day, she has a dream the night of her engagement, where five years in the future, she is living a completely different life with another man. She can't shake the dream when she wakes up, and it resonates in the back of her brain. Eventually, 4 years into the future, she meets the same man in her vision and is conflicted over which man is perfect for her.

The book is not what I expected based on the book's description. While appearing to be a romance novel, the book mostly steers away from that description into a more complex reading with feelings of loss, grief, friendship, and of course, love, with love being the novel's primary focus. The book showcases many types of romantic love being the most talked about.

The book was very dramatic; one could even say overly dramatic to an extent. While the plot is very interesting, the book can sometimes tend to go off-topic. However, the book does have several aspects that make it a quality read. For example, it has good character development, and it's a very well-paced book meaning that it's not hard to get confused. The book, for me, has a pretty predictable ending. Once you read around 3/4 of the book, it's pretty evident what's going to happen next.

Altogether, the book is a good read for anyone who enjoys these types of books and basically any type of romance novel. In my opinion, the book is at a medium reading level; I would say it's a 7.5 ou
